The EWS labs currently include over 1000 workstations and serve over 10,000 students. The mission of EWS is to provide a high performance and highly reliable instructional computing environment for the students and faculty of the College of Engineering.
All EWS labs will close at 5PM on Friday, May 11, at the conclusion of the Spring 2012 semester. During summer session, 406B8 Engineering Hall will be open from 9AM-5PM Monday through Friday. 4th Floor Grainger Library workstations will be available the hours that Grainger is open. All other labs will remain closed, except for those used by courses or workshops. All labs will resume regular semester hours at 8AM on Monday, August 27.
Engineering IT is now accepting applications for Engineering IT Student Consultants to work in the EWS labs, the Help Desk, and more! Click here to apply! EWS Virtual Application Pilot You can now access many of the applications found on EWS lab machines from your personal computer, by simply going to the website, installing a plugin, and clicking on the application. The application will then run on our server backend, using the server resources and graphics processors. Please follw the instructions found at our Citrix Pilot Page for additional information.
